Sadio Mane set to return for Liverpool
Liverpool have received a boost after Sadio Mane was filmed working out at their Melwood training ground. The Senegal international has missed the last two Premier League games against West Ham and Southampton after suffering a muscle tear against Wolves, although the Reds picked maximum points from the two games.
There were concerns about the severity of the injury with fears that he could spend an extended period on the sidelines. However, he seems ready to go again for the Jurgen Klopp led side.
Mane uploaded the video on his Instagram page story showing that he’s back in training. He was spotted dribbling through cones on one of the pitches and also firing a shot into the back of the net. He looked very comfortable as he jogged back to restart the drill.
He decided to stay put at Melwood over the Premier League winter break and work his way to full fitness. The decision could pay off for the 27-year-old who’ll be hoping to get involved when Liverpool face Norwich on February 15.
His return will be a plus for Liverpool who are on track for a 17th Premier League title. They currently sit 22 points clear at the top fo the Premier League table having won 24 out of their 25 games.
