Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Manchester United made an approach to sign Jadon Sancho.
Reports were rife that the English forward was being admired by the Old Trafford outfit following his brilliant performances for Dortmund after leaving Manchester City.
However, Dortmund were not ready to welcome any offers for the 19-year-old forward and are still keen on keeping him at the Signal Iduna Park for the foreseeable future.
According to Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc, Sancho wanted to stay rather than move to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
Zorc said: “A hot topic right now is Sancho and Manchester United“
“Both his discussions with the club and mine with the consultants.
“But according to what I know, the consultant told the club that no matter how much money they offer, we won’t let him go this summer.
“But the player also has no intention of taking that step this summer.”
