According to reports, Juventus are ready to offer Adrien Rabiot as part of a deal to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Frenchman has struggled to seal a regular place in the starting lineup thus far and is behind the likes of Blaise Matuidi, Miralem Pjanic, Aaron Ramsey, and Sami Khedira in the pecking order.
Rabiot is reportedly surplus to requirements and the Old Ladies are hoping that a player plus cash offer will force Spurs’ hand to part with the Dane when the window reopens.
Christain Eriksen will be able to leave Spurs for free next summer and Daniel Levy is reportedly keen to cash in on the player before then, as the likes of Real Madrid are also monitoring the 27-year-old’s situation at the club.
Juventus want to make an early move for the player before he’s available for free. If the deal materializes, then Rabiot’s stay at Juve would have lasted for just 6 months after joining from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Reports also suggest that Eriksen’s representatives also made contact with Bayern Munich after the Bundesliga champions thrashed Spurs in the UEFA Champions League.
